Now I know I haven’t made an update in a while, but I have been quite busy. My exams started yesterday, and until the 4th of January, I have four big written exams I have to finish. But that means I can be more at home with the mice – which I love. They are all doing very well! I’ve just cleaned their cages, and they are currently having fun, investigating everything.
The girls are in their cage, checking out the new sputnik I’ve given them, and a new wooden ladder/bridge. Dahlia is as usual running like crazy on her running disc, while Chewie is trying to dig underneath it. Needless to say, that is causes problems for poor Dahlia, who doesn’t understand why the disc is moving under her. Meanwhile Ivy has already begun to slowly destroy their new ladder, by chewing it. Not really wanting to share it with the others, but she doesn’t seem to have a choice. Adelaide is being her usual calm self, and enjoying a snack, while the others are causing problems.
Pippin is hanging out on the big table. It’s his turn to be there today, as Øystein was there yesterday. He loves the big table, and climbs up and down their wooden playground, and running all over the table. At this exact moment he is looking at me, probably expecting me to get over there and give him some attention – but he will have to wait a bit. And I have already given him lots of attention today. He is a needy little boy, but I love him for it.
On the smaller table Øystein is munching on some food. I’ve come closer to him since I began using the smaller table as well, because it’s close to my couch, so I can reach over and talk to him all the time. Compared to Pippin he is more shy when it comes to approaching me this way, but once he is there, he loves being petted.
So all in all life is good here at the small mouse paradise. They are getting into trouble as usual, and putting a smile on my face all the time. Life wouldn’t be the same without my small luffies.
